Most people only like the stereotypical "eyecandy" art they look at for like 2 seconds, and then forget it. But actual good photos take a bit longer to look at. I just re-sorted my gallery, and instead of putting all of my "best" works in the featured, I now put the works that I personally considered interesting finds. I finally feel delight from looking at my own gallery, because I can see my actual personal touch in it. "Gorgeous art" sucks and is boring, so don't be afraid to follow your own style of creating things. Everyone has a different touch to photography. My all time favorite art from others, actually has always come from artists who didn't try to make it something, but followed their own road instead. A lot of my faves also go for beginner artists who photographed what they saw, and not those who try the most to get my likes. I always considered my art "authentic", so it slightly baffles me to realize that I actually fell for the trap like anyone else. Well, it was good
